I am an agricultural and environmental professional and working as a consultant in a private firm. I received my Ph.D degree in Soil Science and have expertise in soil & fertilizer management, irrigation & water management as well as environmental assessment.
I worked as a researcher in "WAMA PROJECT" led by Dr. Hammond Murray Rust-the renowned irrigation and water management expert. This project was funded by Wageningen Agricultural University-The Netherland. In the aforementioned project, I was involved in assessing "Field measurement techniques for water management".
I also worked as a visiting researcher with CLARRC, which was a joint venture of The University of Edinburgh, Napier University and Scottish Universities Research & Reactor Centre (SURRC). During my stay at CLARRC, I gained valuable experience in a variety of laboratory analytical methods and techniques and was involved in a wide range of environemental pollution related research projects that included elements of experimental design and the interpretation of data and preparation of reports.
I played a key role in one of CLARRC collaborative projects with the Institute of Ecology and Genetics of Microorganisms (IEGM) Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) in Perm, Russia. The project was for the development of a "Simplified Method for the Determination of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Soil". This project was funded under NATO collaborative linkage grant (ESP.NR.NRCLG 982051)
I was one of the six young professionals who were invited from different parts of the world to bring a new point of view to bear on research projects, which were to be presented in the International Young Researchers Seminar 2010, " Exploring Agricultural Research for the future: a dialogue between young researchers from the South and the North".
The French Initiative for International Agricultural Research (FI4IAR: a joint venture of Inra and Cirad) in collaboration with Agropolis Foundation and with the support of the International Foundation for Science (IFS) and the Young Professionals' Platform for Agricultural Research for Development (YPARD) organized this first biennial seminar for young researchers working in industrialized and developing countries with a view to providing support to doctoral and post doctoral students and to promote dialogue and establish links between young researchers from the North and the South.
I am also a member of the several scientific forums and have a wide range of links with research and extension bodies. I have provided several consulting services to the farming industry.
Presently, I am working as a lead researcher in a private firm.
